Because I'm Silly That Way . . .

Inspired by Neil Gaiman's latest journal entry, as syndicated here, I went and made a quick and dirty macro.

Because it just had to be done.

Actually saw Mr. TBH face to face for the first time since July. We'd already had The Big Talk over the phone last week, so we were able to talk about other things. I gave him back some things of his and I got my camera back from him. It was nice to be able to embrace him and sort of discharge all that yearning energy.

No, I'm still not over him. Not completely, not yet. I go back and forth between moments of genuine okayness and moments of "ow ow ow motherfucking OW!" (I told him as much. He said he knew the feeling.) But the moments of okayness are longer and more sustained and the moments of "OW!" I try to let happen and not struggle against.

Dragon*Con is a few days away, and something tells me I won't be lacking for male attention when I get there. I'm not entirely sure how I'll handle it. But we'll see.

Coming down with a cold. Yuck. Swilling down loads of fluids in the hopes of flushing it out as quickly as possible. On my way to bed now.

Today I took pleasure in the sharp, sweet taste of cold Sunny Delight.

Today I learned what a pain in the neck it can be to buy Pseudoephedrine in this day and age.

Um . . . okay. Sure. I'm not sure how well-versed Neil is in the ways of bunny pancake macros, but if you think he'll get a kick out of it, go for it.

Have you seen this?

Mom is having trouble getting her Prevacid, and is railing against Teh Evull Insurance Companies, but not seeing a connection between her problems and her political agendas. Sheesh. I'm having trouble feeling empathy for her issues.

Krogers up here have fancy-schmancy juices in the health section with extra vitamins and immune-boosters, BTW. Also, Vitamin Water is tasty (except dragonfruit, which makes me gag) and seems to help when I feel stuffy and flu-ey.

Get well soon!

I have indeed seen that icon.

Having hassled with many an ebil insurance company over drugs in my time, I understand your mom's pain.

My usual cold cure is Sunny Delight in large quantities. It's the only time I drink the stuff, actually. Will prolly get a can of chicken soup on the way home today.

PS--got your message. It's all good.

You're a better person than I. Orange juice in all forms is not my favourite beverage. I don't abhor it to the degree you abhor peppermint, and sometimes drink it by choice and with enjoyment, but when I am not in the mood for it, and am drinking it for my health, forcing myself to drink it requires determination, or a healthy dollop of vanilla vodka.

Sunny D makes me gag. Maybe it has grapefruit or pineapple in it, which I find more loathsome than OJ, and I can't save them with any amount of booze or nose-holding.

I think my OJ dislike stems from the many different ways OJ manufacturers can screw up orange juice. Don't make it so chunky with pulp that I need a spoon. *gag* Don't add sugar. Don't strain all the pulp out so it is bitter and watery *double gag* I can handle Simply Orange and Tropicana. As long as I am careful not to get any weird variants on the basic theme of "Orange juice, not too much pulp, nothing added to it."

For a cold..
I swear by the Zicam swabs. It is not lots of fun to stick gel up your nose, but better than having gross amounts of muco-poly-saccharides drip from your face for days.
