Powerless

Even though Friday is not the last day of my working week, I still feel the urge to treat myself somehow in the spirit of TGIF. Since I can't usually go out and see bands play, I plink away on my bass guitar for a bit as a way of bringing the rock 'n' roll lifestyle into the house. Today I also splurged three whole bucks (plus tax) at the dollar store to buy some cream-to-powder eyeshadow in silver, blue and purple. Now all I need is an excuse to dress up.

The power went out somewhere in the middle of dinner. Mom was not pleased since she had sweet rolls in the oven. She took them out and she and Dad went out shopping for household stuff (they were planning to anyway.) I read by the fading light and the power came back on before darkness fell completely. I put the sweet rolls back in the oven and they seem to have come out okay. We'll find out for breakfast tomorrow.

The book I borrowed from work about procrastination is turning out to be a rather turgid read. I've set it aside for now and been reading the book I checked out of the library on roughly the same subject (more along the lines of "How to take control of your scattered mind.") The irony is, of course, that while I'm reading these books, everything else is getting put off. Hmmmm.

I'm going to indulge in my internet hour now.

wow! are they the sparkly kind? I found that NYC makes MAC style colours and are very cheap. Hell girl put it on to look beautiful for the mirror if nothing else. Dress up is fun... date or no.

And I love Sylvian too. That is all.
