An observation . . .

When the previous four bands are ass-kicking rock-and-mf'ing-roll bands, having the headliner be merely pleasant in that sort of free-concert-in-the-park-bring-the-kids kind of way is a bit of a letdown.

On the plus side, I should have more sleep to work with, since I bailed after three and a half songs.

Today I took pleasure in The Lizardmen, The Forty-Fives, The Woggles and The Mooney Suzuki laying it down in rapid succession.

Today I learned that The Lizardmen have a new bassist and a keyboardist, and The Mooney Suzuki have a new album coming out.

I had hoped to go, but I was honestly too exhausted when it all came down. Glad to hear that at least most of the bands were enjoyable. :)

Oh, it utterly and completely ROCKED, up until The Zombies took the stage. Then it was merely . . . nice. I got my money's worth, no doubt about it. Sorry you couldn't make it--it was a great show!

I would have so been there if I wasn't, like, five hours away with classes today. *sighs*

Forgot to ask: who, actually, were there representing The Zombies? I'm having a fogey factoid mental lapse, and can't reall if Argent and Blunstone anre both alive still or not. (How sad for me.)

Also: can you send me an e-mail, either to the indy addy or on MySpace? I'm not sure which e-mail you're using most often these days.

Um, I think there were five of them? I haven't the foggiest what their names were. They all looked pretty old. That's all I can tell you.

The email I've been using the most is the address I've been using for ages. I'll ping you on MySpace if you need a reminder.

Re: Apropos of nothing...
Already got brand spankin' new ones. M & D loaned me the money to get them. They weren't cheap, but they're under warranty. Thanks for the tip, though.
