Interview Meme--pippinspeach's Questions

1. Which gives you the most joy: writing or music?

They both do, in different ways. Music, the way I'm using it now, is easier, since it's simply a question of pressing play and taking it in. Writing takes effort, and can be frustrating at times, but when the groove is good it's the best thing in the world. Whenever I embark on actually learning to play a musical instrument, the dynamic is bound to change.

2. Where did you grow up?

In the house on Lullwater where my parents still live to this day. My earliest distinct memory is the day we moved into that house. It was a great place to grow up.

3. How did you and azewewish meet?

She was a friend of a girl named Jennifer who was friends with my older siblings, puppetmaker40 and docwhoopee. We crossed paths quite a few times and she was a familiar face. We got properly acquainted when we were both at some sci-fi convention and went together to the food court for lunch. She mentioned she had some import copy of some Duran Duran CD. "Wait . . . you like Duran Duran?" And the rest was history.

4. Have you ever been truly scared for your life?

I know my father was when I fell off the basement stairs and broke my collarbone. As for myself, I think the closest I've come was when I was making a hasty turn in Midtown and was almost literally Hit By A Bus. Sometimes when I'm feeling disappointed with my life, I point out to myself that I could have died then, so everything past that point has been bonus time.

5. Are you still a Duranie?

Yeah, I am. I still love 'em, even if they do dumb things and even though I was largely disappointed with Astronaut. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with this next one. Don't think I'll be doing eleven shows in one month like I did back in 2001, though. Just ain't quite the same, y'know?

(If you would like to interview me, just post the handy meme found in this entry in your journal and, attention whore that I am, I'll be bound to comment and ask for an interview. You can also comment in that entry if you'd like me to interview you.)
