Packingpackingpacking . . .

So, um. Yeah.

I think I have enough clothes and stuff to last me for five days packed in my carry-on and pajamas in my backpack. And books. Three of them. For signature.

Don't Bite the Sun
Drinking Sapphire Wine
Duran Duran: The First Four Years of the Fab Five

First two are for Tanith Lee, of course. The third is for Neil Gaiman.

I'll let you know if I manage to get them signed.

I need to take the trash out now, so my place won't reek upon my return.

I am taking the laptop with me, but I honestly haven't the faintest notion what internet access will be available to me, so don't expect anything from me until Tuesday, maybe, if I'm not a puddle of incoherence upon my return that evening.

Today I took pleasure in a completely empty things-to-be-filed tray at work. (And then Boss #1 handed me some more stuff to put away, but for that brief and shining moment, there was emptiness.)

Today I learned I'd forgotten to actually sign my passport until just tonight.

Make sure you have the proper plug

English plugs are different than american devices carry. That's why I'm not bothering with my laptop in germany

Re: Make sure you have the proper plug
Yeah, I was aware of that. My parents were kind enough to loan me an adaptor that they've used on their own travels.

I have no such parents. I have no such adaptor. I am adaptless.

Hope the books get signed!

I had that DD book when it came out. If ONLY I'd had any idea who Neil Gaiman would become, I would have kept it!!

Am SO jealous of you! Tanith Lee and Neil Gaiman. *sigh*

I actually picked it up out of some Duranies "selling my DD crap" auction, I think. I kept it because it was a pretty well-written book.

I'm only getting it signed because I want to see the look on his face when I give it to him. ;)

Last night I was tyring to make a post enquiring about your departure but I gave up because LJ was being awfully slow. I wish I could have gone to London to meet you, but I wasted too much time and didn't book when flights were still cheap. :(

Have a safe journey and FUN!

Aw, that's okay. I probably wouldn't have had much time to hang out anyway.

I still have dreams of going to Venice just so I'll have a chance of meeting you. Seriously.
