Weekend Report

Friday night I went out to see The Julia Dream at 10 High, which was a fantabulous show. Ran into Ang there, and we caught up on stuff. Her friend Lance had recently relocated to Atlanta and was declaring the show his official welcoming party, handing out nametags to just about everybody he knew even vaguely. The one I got read "Professional Stalker." My reputation precedes me, apparently.

Saturday was mostly lost to sleep and the internet, but I did go out to the Plaza Theater to see The Aristocrats. And, yes, it is every bit as filthy as you may have heard, but the filthiness becomes so over-the-top that it becomes to obscenity what a Road Runner cartoon is to violence. You don't take it seriously. If you haven't heard about it, it's basically a documentary about a dirty joke. A legendarily dirty joke. You'll just have to see it to learn the rest. I do recommend, however, that you skip the popcorn and soda for this one. Trust me.

Sunday was sleep, sleep and sleeeeeeep. I went out to Java Monkey and then got a bad feeling and went home instead. Took a shower and moodled on the internet.

Today I treadmilled at the gym. I've decided already I prefer the treadmills because they're just so much easier to manipulate to the pace you want, rather than the thing deciding for you. Went at it for twenty minutes, showered, went home. It's a start.

Today I took pleasure in two eggs over easy, hash browns and toast at the Majestic.

Today I learned John Byrne doesn't like Wikipedia.

Congrats on doing the gym thing! I just started walking a mile in the mornings this week, and it feels so good when you're done.

And I think the movie sounds great, I'll have to track it down around here and head out to see it.
